Always take the leap of faith.... and Jump In! Where am I now? Loving events, during my HND at South Lanarkshire College, I was undertaking a unit named- “Managing an Event”. This was to be completed as group work, therefore one of my classmates Taylor and I paired up to complete the project. We decided to host an EK Bake Off, as the bake off was our favourite TV programme.... and  I love baking …seemed like the right thing to do ....Although I am terrible at baking... but I do love eating cakes….. so basically that was it decided. The theme for this event was to involve the community and to bring people together. I firstly suggested a sports day at a local primary school… however my inspiring lecturer Tarryn convinced me to challenge myself with something completely different to shows, or sports competitions ….. Why not? Let’s join the circus! From being involved with trampolining, I began to love watching a variety of acrobatics and I absolutely idolised Cirque Du Soleil. At the international trampolining competitions talent scouts were always present and I was looking out for them... and trying to get their attention.... I do enjoy the spotlight may I add.....  I have  submitted a show reel to Cirque.... however, nothing came of it, as I was too young or didn't have the specific skills as required ...a little sad but I had to ensure that didn't demotivate me.  For my 15 th Birthday, my mum gave me a voucher  to take a friend with me and attend a "Circus Blast" at one of the Circus’s in Glasgow- Spinal Chord.  She thought it would be a fun experience to go along and "give us a laugh". I went along with one of my school friends and I absolutely loved it.... but wow I had no upper body strength....  NOW ... I found this was my new...

Over the years competing in trampolining... I eventually decided that it was time to move on.... I loved learning new skills, competing, training, travelling with my club, attending the social events – everything. However, a mental block appeared.  This is how it all began...while training for an international competition in Holland at age 15, I was training my voluntary routine. (In trampolining you perform 2 different routines, the first routine is called a "set" this is where there are compulsory skills you must complete in the desired order for your performance level. Then the second routine is called a "voluntary", this is where you have a points value you must complete throughout the routine by using more complex skills. During the routine I was completing a Rudi out skill (double front somersault with a 1½ twists in the second somersault) and lost my way.
